The Settler's Rebellion[edit | edit source]

Main article: The Settler's Rebellion

Following a souring in relations between Branburg and Wrenn, Owyn conversed with Duke Raymond Colton of Illaris in an effort to form an alliance. Raymond, after some deliberation, agreed to form a pact to wage a war of independance against the Kingdom of Wrenn. This proved a vital turning point in the rebellion, as the forces of Branburg and Illaris combined vastly outnumbered the forces of Wrenn.

A month later in Branburg Keep, the rallied Branburg and Illarian forces listened as Owyn gave a rousing speech that called upon the loyalty of the Northern people which was met with great vigor. This formally began the rebellion in the year 4E 35.

In an effort to put Wrenn on the back foot, the combined forces began their march south to the castle-fortress of Rochburg. Over the coming days, rulers of various settlements declared their support for the rebellion, most notably The Western Isles led by Aianna Ashfall, and promptly marched their levies to Rochburg.
